Training Contracts

We usually offer between two and four trainee solicitor/ solicitor apprenticeship vacancies each year, and there are opportunities to experience different working environments in all of our offices. As such, we offer a Training Contract either at our Stevenage Office or at our Northamptonshire Offices, which are situated in Corby and Northampton.

A typical training programme is divided into four “seats” of six months each. These are spent in different units/offices within the firm. At Tollers, we place great emphasis on the structure and progression of your training. You will make an important contribution from the start of your training contract, taking responsibility from your first day with us, within a well-organised and supportive team-based environment.

We offer Training Contracts for prospective Trainee Solicitors looking to qualify either through taking the SQE or having passed the LPC. Both can be applied for online below.

We offer two-year fixed term Training Contracts for those who have a law degree, or the GDL. This is a structured training programme, designed to give trainees the required qualifying work experience (QWE) to qualify as a solicitor.

We offer Training Contracts for prospective Trainee Solicitors looking to qualify either through taking the SQE or having passed the SQE or the LPC.

Law Training Contracts
From the start of your training contract, you will work on real cases and matters for clients in both our ‘For Business’ and ‘For You’ Services areas.
If you have a lot to offer and want to train outside of the City in a progressive firm “well able to meet and exceed the requirements of the Training Regulations”, then contact us.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority described the Training Programme at Tollers as: “An excellent environment for learning legal practice.”

The audit went on to say:
“(it) is well supported throughout and maintains a balance between stretching the capabilities of individuals at the right pace for them and supporting trainees in their development. There is a good structured performance review process which is actively carried out, and the involvement of the Training Principal ensures consistency in the monitoring of trainees”.
