Sarah Ingram started her career as a solicitor in 2002 specialising in commercial litigation. For nearly 15 years her work included insolvency, property, asset finance and pensions litigation. Sarah became passionate about family law after she experienced divorce firsthand, and decided she wanted to retrain as a family solicitor. In 2016 Sarah approached her employer about re-training, and in May 2017 Sarah began her career in family law. She has practised exclusively in family law since then. Sarah views this as her vocation and considers it both a responsibility and a privilege to be a trusted adviser to individuals at such a significant time in their lives.
Sarah’s career in family law has gone from strength to strength and she is renowned for both her technical expertise and client care. In 2020 she was named a Rising Star by the Legal 500, and has been named annually in the publication since 2020. Sarah was made up to partner in January 2023 and was delighted to join the team at Tollers in January 2024.
That first appointment with a family solicitor can be daunting; something Sarah appreciates entirely having been a client herself. Sarah is not a stuffy lawyer and puts clients at ease from the outset. She is known for her no-nonsense approach, clear and practical advice, sound judgment, integrity, and kindness to clients.
