Teamwork Trust – Supporting our local communities

At Tollers, we are passionate about supporting local communities and are keen to get involved with local communities where possible.
On Monday 11th November 2024, our Corby Trusts & Estates team and our Elderly and Vulnerable Client Unit spent the day volunteering at a local charity – Teamwork Trust.
Who Are Teamwork Trust?
Teamwork Trust is a day service provider for Adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or mild mental health issues. They have three centres – Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough. At their centres, they provide a place for their service users to make friends, access education and employment experiences as well as take part in activities and classes both on and off-site. It is clear that the centres are well used and a fantastic place for the service users to access opportunities and experiences.
The Teamwork Trust Corby centre has a dedicated quiet room for when their users need some quiet time away from the activities in the main centre and they felt that this room needed a refresh.
The plan for the quiet room is to make it into a relaxing sensory area which can be used by the Teamwork Trust service users. They recently decorated their quiet room in their Wellingborough centre which was very well received by the service users and they would like the Corby centre to have a similar quiet room.
How Tollers Supported Teamwork Trust?
Our Corby Trusts & Estates team and Elderly and Vulnerable Client Unit spent the day with Teamwork Trust painting their quiet room to give it a much-needed refresh to make the room much more brighter and inviting. The room was painted in a neutral and bright magnolia colour – which was chosen by the service users.
Working alongside Tollers with the painting was one of the Teamwork Trust service users who loves painting and she thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to help with the painting. She is very excited to see and use the room once it is complete.
Tollers are very proud to have been able to have a part in improving the facilities at this fantastic charity and cannot wait to see the final result of the quiet room refresh.
